Lil' Frankenstein's Monster

Hey there! You guys may have noticed that the "sketch-a-day"s have trailed off somewhat. I'm currently working on a freelance project and so have less time for daily sketches, but I'd like to continue uploading on a weekly basis. In the mean time, I did this 5-minute sketch to warm up today- I had the urge to draw Frankenstein's monster. Enjoy!

Study: La Canada Hills

Here's something a little different from yesterday. In preparation for an album cover illustration, I painted a study in the hills of La Canada ("la can-yada", not up north :P). This was my first attempt at plein-air painting, I probably spent 1 hour and 45 minutes or so on it. It felt really good to paint with, y'know, real paint again!
